Tahoe Tavern

The Original Tavern featured amenities such as a barber shop, bowling alley, ballroom, theater, pleasure pier, laundry stables, golf links, swimming pool and an indoor skating rink. The Tavern was visited by many of Hollywoods favorites. The Steamer Tahoe, would meet the Truckee train out on the Tavern's 1/8 mile long pier. The Tavern was sold to developers in 1960 and was demolished in or around 1964. It is now a large higher end Condominium complex offering lakefront and lake view units. Prices range here from $995,000 to $1,200,000.
